“A curse is just a story that hasn’t found its ending yet.”
The sweeping, romantic conclusion to the Once Upon a Broken Heart trilogy begins after the devastating cliffhanger of the previous book. Evangeline Fox finds herself in a precarious position: her memories of Jacks, the Prince of Hearts, have been completely erased, and she has been led to believe she is happily married to Apollo, the Prince of the North. Cloistered away in a glittering royal castle, Evangeline feels a deep, instinctual ache that something or someone crucial is missing from her life, but the truth is buried beneath a web of dangerous royal illusions.
Meanwhile, a desperate and uncharacteristically vulnerable Jacks will stop at nothing to get her back and break the ultimate curse, even if it means tearing the Magnificent North apart or letting Evangeline hate him forever. As ancient secrets about the Valory Arch are laid bare and Apollo’s dark, possessive motives come to light, Evangeline must fight through the fog of her stolen memories to reclaim her true history. In this final, high-stakes battle between fate, magic, and free will, she will have to decide who holds her heart once and for all—and whether a true love’s kiss can genuinely conquer a lethal curse.
