Verity by Colleen Hoover is a dark, psychological thriller that follows Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer who accepts a life-changing job offer. She is hired to complete the remaining books of a highly successful series after the original author, Verity Crawford, is severely injured in a car accident.
When Lowen moves into the Crawford home to sort through Verity’s notes, she uncovers an unpublished, hidden autobiography. Inside, she finds horrifying admissions about Verity’s family and the tragic events that befell them. As Lowen develops feelings for Verity’s grieving husband, Jeremy, she must decide whether to reveal the manuscript’s disturbing contents leading into a twisted web of obsession, deceit, and a chillingly ambiguous climax.
